Entry to the Weekly Lottery and the Superdraws:
The Weekly Lottery
1. The Weekly Lottery is a regular weekly draw which can be entered on a subscription basis through monthly direct debit or by debit card payment. We will not accept credit card payments.
2. You can purchase tickets online, via our lottery helpline 0370 050 1685, by post or in person with one of our fundraisers.
3. The cost of each entry for the weekly draw is £1 per play. Players can purchase more than one entry up to a maximum of 10 chances (£10) in the Weekly Lottery draw.
4. Payment to enter the Weekly Lottery must be made in advance and must be received 3 working days before entry to the weekly draw. Once payment has been received you will be entered into the next available Weekly Lottery draw.
5. Players can pay using a debit card for a one off transaction of £1 per entry, (minimum payment £15), or by direct debit on a monthly basis. The cost of the direct debit is £5 a month to be entered into the weekly draw. If the direct debit is paid quarterly the subscription is £15, if paid bi-annually the subscription is £30 and if paid annually the subscription is £60.
6. As players can purchase up to 10 chances in each weekly lottery draw, the direct debit figures would increase respectively to reflect the number of entries. For example, 5 entries on a quarterly subscription would amount to £75.
The Summer Superdraw
7. Any players who pay for the Weekly Lottery by direct debit will automatically be entered into the Summer Superdraw, with bigger top prizes, once a year.
8. As each entry to the Weekly Lottery and the Summer Superdraw costs £1, every month £4.34 (or a multiple of for additional chances) will be used to enter into the Weekly Lottery, and £0.66 will be put towards that player’s Summer Superdraw entry. This £0.66 will accumulate until the Summer Superdraw date, when all available funds will be put towards entries in the Summer Superdraw (1 entry = £1 of extra credit).
9. Any player who pays a monthly direct debit of £5 for 12 months before the Summer Superdraw, will receive 7 or 8 entries into the Summer Superdraw, depending on what date the draw falls on that year. Players who have higher direct debits will receive more entries.
10. Additional entries to the Summer Superdraw cannot be purchased separately.
11. The Summer Superdraw will replace that week’s Weekly Lottery. Therefore, any entries to that week’s Weekly Lottery will automatically be entered into the Summer Superdraw.
12. In the event a player fails to pay their monthly direct debit or equivalent, any funds which would have been put towards the Summer Superdraw will be used to pay for the following Weekly Lottery draws until the funds are exhausted. This will proportionately reduce the number of entries the player accrues for the Summer Superdraw.
13. To find out exactly how many entries you have into the Summer Superdraw you can use the above information to calculate the number or email us at lottery@stroke.org.uk between 2 and 5 working days before the draw date.
14. The Summer Superdraw will be held during the summer. The date of the draw will be clearly advertised in the months preceding on the website.
The Christmas Superdraw
15. Once a year the Weekly Lottery will be replaced by a Christmas Superdraw with a bigger top prize. Any entries to the Weekly Lottery in a Christmas Superdraw week will become entries to the Christmas Superdraw at no additional cost to you. You may purchase extra single entries online. We reserve the right to promote and sell entries to the Christmas Superdraw as a one-off draw.
16. The date of the Christmas Superdraw and relevant closing dates for entry, which may vary depending on entry method, will be on Our website and in any letters accompanying tickets sent in the post.
Cancellation of Entry
17. If you wish to cancel your entry to the Weekly Lottery and Superdraws you can notify us by calling the lottery helpline 0370 050 1685 or emailing lottery@stroke.org.uk. If you are paying by direct debit you should also notify your bank to cancel the payment. You will not be refunded for draws which you have already paid and your cancellation will not affect your rights as a holder of such entries, subject to these terms and conditions. After your final entries into the Weekly Lottery, any amount under £1 remaining in your account will be donated to the Stroke Association.
18. In the event a player ceases to make regular payments into the Lottery, they will continue to be entered into draws with any funds available on their account. Once these funds are exhausted, the player’s entries will be deemed cancelled and after 3 months any amount remaining in your account will be donated to the Stroke Association. This amount will always be less than £1.
Winners:
1. The Weekly Lottery draw will take place every Friday with the exception of Bank Holidays when the draw will take place the next working day.
2. Winning entries will be selected using random number generator software that has been approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third-party test house. Prizes will be awarded in order of selection.
3. A list of the prizes won will be published on Our website weekly.
4. Prizes for the Weekly Lottery, Summer Superdraw and Christmas Superdraw are printed on Our promotional materials and advertised on Our website. There are no alternatives to prizes and no interest payable. We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
5. If you win a prize from Our Weekly Lottery, Summer Superdraw or Christmas Superdraw, We will publish the winning numbers, your title, surname and residing town alongside other winners on Our website. If you do not want your details to appear on our winners list, then please notify us by calling the lottery helpline 0370 050 1685 or email lottery@stroke.org.uk
6. Winners will be notified by email where possible, and the prizes will be paid by direct credit back to the winner’s account if they pay by direct debit. All other winners will be sent a cheque in the post.
7. If a prize is not claimed within 90 days of the date of the draw the prize will be forfeited. It is the player's responsibility to ensure their contact details are up to date. Unclaimed prizes will be treated as a donation to Stroke Association.
8. In addition to the Weekly Lottery, there is a rollover Jackpot of £250. Unlike the weekly prizes, the Jackpot is not guaranteed to be won each week and will increase by £250 every week it is not won up to a maximum value of £10,000. Once the Jackpot reaches £10,000 it must be won and there will be a guaranteed winner that week.
9. If you are a lottery player and win five entries, you will receive those five entries into the following week's lottery draw. Each ticket is paid for by the Stroke Association at a cost of £1 per entry.
